Why is Background Location required?

• Continuous Trip Monitoring: Once a ride starts, Vaygoo tracks the active trip route in real time to ensure driver compliance with the route, accurate distance/time calculations, and emergency assistance even when your phone is locked or you have switched to another app.
• User Safety & Emergency Support: In-ride safety features, including live trip sharing with trusted contacts and emergency dispatch assistance, rely on continuous background location coordinates.
• Driver Dispatch & Proximity Matching: For drivers, background location enables the dispatch engine to assign nearby orders and update estimated times of arrival (ETA) accurately.

4 How We Use Your Information

We process collected data exclusively for legitimate operational and legal purposes:

• To match passengers with drivers and facilitate transportation or logistics services.
• To calculate trip pricing, process cashless payments, and issue digital receipts.
• To verify user identity, prevent fraudulent ride bookings, and protect community safety.
• To send critical push notifications regarding ride status, safety alerts, and account updates.
• To analyze performance, resolve software bugs, and enhance platform reliability.
